Everyone is talking about it, but what is it?
RDA is the new cataloguing paradigm, which replaces the old rules – AACRII.
In a nutshell, RDA give us more scope to catalogue the ephemeral and the digitial. Let’s face it, more and more of what we have in our collections is not a physical items. It’s more likely to be a link, a digital document, image or PDF, an eBook or audiobook.
